Welcome

Yellowbird Education offers fun and engaging workshops for children to develop skills in Creative Writing, Handwriting, English Exam Preparation, Reasoning and Interview Skills. We have extensive knowledge of the British school system and preparing children for the 7+, 8+ and 11+ independent school entry process. Our experienced team write all the content for our bespoke booklets and exciting exam papers, which are integral to the structure of the courses we offer. These carefully designed booklets are split into achievable daily tasks aimed at inspiring children, whilst building confidence and bringing out the best in every child.

What types of workshops does Yellowbird offer?

Yellowbird offers a range of workshops for children aged 6 to 11. Creative Writing Workshops for fun and exam prep. Exam Prep Workshops for 7+, 8+, 10+ and 11+ exams in English and Reasoning. Handwriting workshops for those who need to join their writing and improve their pencil grip.

How do I register for a workshop?

Select the workshop/mock/course you want to book. Choose your venue, date and age group. Fill out the information for your child. Follow the checkout steps. All Done! Your child is now booked!

What should I bring to a workshop?

Children will need to bring a pencil case, water/snack and lunch (morning workshops only).

Is lunch provided during workshops?

Children are required to bring a packed lunch from home to any of our morning holiday workshops. Lunch is not provided by Yellowbird.

Are there any prerequisites for attending a workshop?

We do not ask for anything beforehand. We ask that children attending our Exam Prep based workshops are fluent in English reading and writing and are of a good level for their current year group.

How long are the workshops?

Our workshops vary from 3-5 days depending on venue availability and bank holidays. We try wherever possible to run for 5 days, however, some of our dates are 3 and 4 day weeks. Our Sunday Exam Prep course runs in terms and variers from 5-11 weeks depending on the term.
