These hugely popular workshops are always very much in demand. We recommend you book early!
HURLINGHAM SCHOOL 2024 Dates: 19-23rd Aug, 28th Oct -1st Nov
Times: 10am-2pm
Venue: Hurlingham School, 122 Putney Bridge Rd, London SW15 2NQ
Suitable for: Children in Years 1-6 (Year 1 students can join from February onwards), suitable for writers of all abilities.
Max Students: 12 students max per group; students are grouped by age
Note: FOR JULY AND AUGUST WORKSHOPS, PLEASE CHOOSE THE YEAR GROUP YOUR CHILD WILL BE ENTERING IN SEPT 2023.
By writing a piece each day and talking it through whilst still fresh, the children can immediately see what they have done well and how to improve their work. The groups are small and age-appropriate allowing us to build an understanding of how to write stories based on our “Six Secrets for Success.” We focus on what is required by schools at the various age levels, but we also want to engender a sense of daily achievement and enjoyment. A variety of writing topics and styles will be covered.
NOTE: The material used in this workshop will change each week so students can join multiple times throughout the year to maximise their learning. Children may be be placed in a mixed year group according to bookings.
